The Gap

Concepts without sharp boundaries (tall, heap). UL enclosures have crisp boundaries.

Why It Matters

Almost every natural-language concept is vague. Critical if UL aims to model human language rather than serve as engineered protocol.

Resolution

Replace crisp enclosures with regions having boundary 'thickness' — continuous function transitioning from inside to outside.
